BARCELONA, Feb 17, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Mobile World Congress (Novatel Booth# AV52 -A) - Novatel Wireless, Inc. (Nasdaq: NVTL), a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, and Rohde and Schwarz, a leading supplier of solutions for electronic testing and measurement, today announced that they will be conducting speed trials to demonstrate the data throughout performance of Novatel Wireless' HSPA+ product family at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

HSPA+ is the next evolution of high-speed packet access (HSPA) wireless broadband technology, providing greater data throughput compared to current 3G networks. "Novatel Wireless continues to stay at the forefront in the development of HSPA+ technology, which will play a pivotal role in the transition from HSPA to LTE networks," said Peter Leparulo, Chairman and CEO of Novatel Wireless. "We're pleased to collaborate with Rohde & Schwarz to demonstrate the capabilities and potential of Novatel's next-generation HSPA+ products."
