Dan Mondor has over 35 years of telecommunications and media technology experience with global Fortune 500 and privately held corporations. Dan has received numerous telecommunications industry awards for innovation and market impact and was recognized by ExecRank as a top Micro-Cap CEO for driving shareholder value.
Prior to joining Inseego Corporation, Mr. Mondor provided corporate strategy and M&A advisory services to the telecommunications industry through his private consulting firm, from April 2016 to June 2017. From March 2015 to March 2016, he was President and CEO of Spectralink Corporation, a private-equity owned global company that designs and manufactures mobile-workforce telecommunications products for global enterprises, including Android powered WiFi smartphones. From April 2008 to November 2014, Mr. Mondor was the President and CEO of Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: CCUR), a global company that designs and manufactures IP video delivery systems and real-time Linux based software solutions for global service providers, military, aerospace, and automotive and financial service industries. From February 2007 to March 2008, he was President of Mitel Networks, Inc., a subsidiary of Mitel Networks Corporation (Nasdaq: MITL), a global company that designs and manufactures business communications systems and mobile communications technology to serve the enterprise and wireless carrier markets. Prior to that, Mr. Mondor held a number of executive positions during his 16 year career at Nortel Networks, in general management, marketing, sales and product-line management. During a period of hyper-growth at Nortel, to become a $10B dominant market share leader, Mr. Mondor was VP and GM of Enterprise Network Solutions, VP and General Manager of Global Cable Operator Solutions, and VP of Global Marketing for Nortel’s Optical Internet business. Mr. Mondor holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, and executive education from the Cornell Graduate School of Management and Duke Fuqua School of Business.
- Stephen SmithChief Financial Officer
Mr. Smith, 59, previously served as a financial consultant serving multiple software-as-a-service, medical technology and technology device businesses, and served as interim Chief Financial Officer of TetraVue Inc., a developer of high definition 4D LIDAR technology, since February 2017. From 2012 to 2016, Mr. Smith served as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Operations for Micropower Technologies, a private equity-backed business engaged in the development and sale of platforms enabling extreme low-power wireless video surveillance systems. From 2005 to 2012, Mr. Smith ran his own consulting business and also served as President of XiTron Technologies, a development stage biotech firm that was sold to ImpediMed Ltd, a publicly-traded medical device company, in 2007. From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Smith served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation, a publicly-traded semiconductor company that designs network and embedded power architecture, optical transport and storage solutions. Mr. Smith also serves as a director of the Business Executive Council of San Diego and Niels Brock/CIBU, a Denmark-based International Business University. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Arizona State University.
- Ashish SharmaChief Marketing Officer and EVP of IoT & Mobile Solutions
Ashish Sharma is a technology industry senior executive with vast experience driving major innovation for IoT and mobile solutions and SaaS companies. With a diverse background in sales, marketing, strategy, product management and engineering, he brought numerous highly innovative products to market and helped build multi-billion dollar brands in the mobile industry for companies such as Qualcomm, Ericsson, Alvarion, FreeWave and Spectralink.
Prior to joining Inseego, Ashish was Chief Marketing Officer at Spectralink where he authored a new end-to-end mobility vision and strategy for the company for multiple enterprise segments. Prior to Spectralink, Ashish was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Graymatics, a cloud-based machine-learning SaaS company. At Graymatics, Ashish led sales and marketing efforts for the North America market and significantly grew the company’s large enterprise customer base. Before Graymatics, he was the Chief Marketing Officer at FreeWave, an IoT company focused on Oil & Gas, Utility and Defense Industries. Prior to FreeWave, Ashish was the Vice President of Marketing for Alvarion where he played a prominent role in building and growing the WiMAX industry into a multi-billion dollar market. Ashish also held multiple sales, marketing and engineering roles for Ericsson and Qualcomm and helped create the early market adoption of CDMA technology. He is a well-known industry expert in mobile and wireless system architectures.
Ashish holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of District of Columbia, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University and a Masters of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in Finance, Marketing and Strategy.
- Chris LytleChief Strategy Officer and EVP of Enterprise SaaS Solutions
Chris Lytle has more than two decades of experience on Wall Street and with public/private investing roles primarily focused on the technology and telecom space, including two periods of employment at Morgan Stanley & Co. from 1991-1998 and 2006-2009. The former period involved roles in corporate finance, equity research, and fixed income trading. After he started the RCL Capital hedge fund in 2003 at John Levin & Co., he sold a minority stake of the Fund to Morgan Stanley in 2006 and continued in his role as Managing Director and lead Portfolio Manager of the Morgan Stanley Small/Mid-Cap Hedge Fund until 2009. The fund primarily focused on the wireless, telecom equipment and technology industries.
Prior to Inseego from 2013 to 2016, Mr. Lytle was the lead external investor and President of Cavulus, a privately-held SaaS-based technology provider, which provided a cloud-based platform automating marketing, sales, enrollment and compliance operations for consumer-facing health plans. As President, he oversaw Corporate Strategy and led sales efforts to help drive growth from 12 to over 30 enterprise health plan customers. As lead outside investor, he led the sale of his investor network holdings to the Company’s largest client in 2016.
As Executive Vice President and head of Strategy, Mr. Lytle is responsible for creating and overseeing Inseego’s long-term strategies to drive profitable growth in new and existing markets, as well as the development of strategic partnerships and acquisitions that address SaaS-based telematics and IOT solutions. Mr. Lytle holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Lafayette College.
- Stephen SekChief Technology Officer
Stephen Sek is a veteran in wireless telecom industry, having been involved in carving the evolution of various generations of wireless technologies as steering committee member, board of director, technical advisor and contributor to various worldwide standards and regulatory bodies. Mr. Sek has served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Inseego Corp. since November 2016. He previously held executive positions at Novatel Wireless, Inc., an Inseego company, serving as the Company’s CTO since 2015, Vice President of Global Product, Vice President of Corporate R&D, and Senior Technical Advisor to the CEO from 2013-2015. He also served as the Company’s General Manager and held other senior positions from 2000 through 2006. Mr. Sek began his career at Motorola where he served in various senior research, engineering and managerial positions for the PCS Advanced Technology Labs, System Technology and Wireless Data Division over a 10-year span from 1990 to 2000 having pioneered some of the industry-firsts wireless packet data modem and PC cards that helped proliferate today’s mobile broadband industry. He spearheaded several Motorola corporate wide initiatives including 5Nines for all wireless devices, and inaugurated the wireless data system technology lab. From 2006 through 2013 he served as CTO for Axesstel, Inc., and pioneered new product categories in WLL/Fixed mobile converged devices with Orange and Telefonica, and Home Phone Connect with Verizon Wireless and Sprint. Mr. Sek holds a Masters of Science from University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science from Boston University.
- Cobus GroveGlobal General Manager, Ctrack
Cobus serves as Global General Manager of Ctrack, leading the global Ctrack teams and all related business operations. Prior to this, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer for DigiCore Holdings Ltd, where he had the responsibility for all finance and business processes. Cobus started his career at Deloitte, specialising in the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Cobus also lectured the Accounting Honours programme of the National School of Accounting and was senior lecturer for the same programme at the University of Johannesburg.
In 2011, Cobus was appointed associate director at EY, specialising in the interpretation and application of IFRS. Cobus was presented the Compliance and Governance Award at the annual CFO South Africa Awards and won the South Africa Institute of Chartered Accountants award for the Top 35 under 35.
- Dennis CalderonVice President, Legal Affairs and SecretaryDennis Calderon is responsible for overseeing Inseego’s commercial legal, litigation, intellectual property, corporate compliance and other general legal functions. Mr. Calderon began working with Inseego in June 2013. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Calderon was a partner in Venture Counsel Group, LLP, a boutique corporate law firm serving Southern California technology companies. Mr. Calderon received his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law and a B.S. in Business from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
